ECIS TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE 2009: THE BEAUTY OF BALANCE
5-7 March 2009 at THE AMERICAN SCHOOL IN LONDON

The 2009 ECIS Technology Conference will be held at The American School in London on 5-7 March 2009. The theme of the conference is “The Beauty of Balance”: a discussion of how academic technology integration is an increasingly coordinated and sustainable part of the PreK-12 learning experience.

In addition to the main conference, there will be a Technology Leadership Summit for Directors of Technology and IT administrators. This event is limited to 25 participants, and begins on the afternoon of 4 March 2009.

The main keynote presentation will be about the growth and dynamism of Learning Communities, and how adults can learn from online social investments made daily by students. This keynote will be done by Ewan McIntosh, an international advocate of online collaboration and academic networking (edu.blogs.com).

Conference sessions will focus on four main subject areas:

• Technology and the Learning Experience
• Technology and School/Home Culture
• Digital Arts, 2D/3D, Video, Animation and Music
• IT Infrastructure, Development and Management

The deadline for proposal applications is Friday 21 November 2008. All contributors of accepted proposals will be contacted by Friday 5 December 2008.

There are three registration options:

Main Conference Early-bird Registration £150 per person until 15 Dec. 2008
Main Conference Regular Registration £175 per person starting 16 Dec. 2008
Tech Leadership Summit and Conference £200 per person (25 participant limit)

The Main Conference registration includes all food for the days of the main conference, including two breakfasts, two lunches, two dinners, and refreshments at breaks, at the conference site
